Oil-Filled Radiator Space Heater

Ahh, the portable, room space heater, providing comfort for those cold winter nights. Here we have an oil filled radiator space heater. It does a good job of pumping out constant steady heat and doesn't use too much energy to do so. These oil filled radiators do take a long time to heat up. People often make the mistake of turning them on full power to try and heat the room quickly. If you do this, you'll wake up in the middle of the night burning alive and parched. I like to leave mine constantly on the low setting. I don't recommend this and neither does the manufacturer, but, on its lowest setting and constantly on, my oil filled radiator heater does a great job of keeping the room warm.

These heaters are heavy and awkward to move, especially up and down stairs. Find a place for it and leave it there.

Fan Heater

Here's an example of a fan heater. These space heaters do a better job of heating up a room in a short amount of time because they come with a fan built right in. They are light and thus portable. Like the oil filled heater, they come with a thermostat so you can control how hot the room becomes before the unit shuts off. Some fan heaters even come with a timer that you can set so that it turns on and off at different times of the day. The fan heater shuts off if it tips or falls or gets too hot.
